From my first meeting with Crab Creative I could see they were a good fit. They aim to deliver solutions that meet all key objectives, while maintaining the brand’s identity, which was integral to our working relationship. By working collaboratively and putting a lot of effort into making sure the end product was right for our brand, Crab managed to deliver several messages in a simple, clean and classic way for our Cortado campaign.

Crab delivered a breadth of digital services to Alpro including media management, creative development, SEO/SEA and strategic guidance where relevant. The Crab teams were enthusiastic with insightful input throughout the process. Answers to queries were available quickly, with strong leadership throughout each step of the process. We were impressed by the ultra-modern thinking behind the first few rounds of brand development, specifically the logos and typefaces. It was great how Crab managed to take this initial thinking and align this with thorough research to create an identity that successfully carried over our warm heritage, whilst introducing a much needed forward-thinking layer to our positioning. We achieved exactly what we set out to do at the beginning of the project. The brand guidelines documentation produced by Crab has proven incredibly useful to the business; it’s helped our people confidently express the brand and produce collateral for our important tasting events this Summer. Before this project, it was always a challenge to articulate the brand in a way that everybody agreed upon but this is no longer the case. Whenever I speak to our growers at the trade tasting events, I’m always pleased to hear their feedback and opinion on the branding – we definitely succeeded in appealing to them! Rebrand & site design
We first engaged with Crab Creative in early 2015. We had recently been voted the “Best Company to Work For in the UK” and were looking for a Digital agency to help us with a complete rebrand of our 23-year-old business, a rebrand that reflected our new culture. They pitched against 4 other agencies, both big multi-nationals and smaller companies that specialised in our sector. They stood out as they had taken time to try and understand our brand, were well organised, eloquent and produced some really interesting initial concepts. The project included the creation of a new logo and website as well as all supporting branding collateral. The website was a particularly challenging piece of the puzzle due to the fact that we are a sales business so the site had to look great, while still remaining highly functional. The project was delivered within the timelines set and the results were top-drawer. Crab’s method was simple: provide a small, highly skilled team that saw the whole process through – they really immersed themselves in our brand to produce something we were all proud of.
Since this initial project our relationship with Crab has continued- they have a content arm that looks after all the written content we publish on social media, have undertaken some adhoc digital campaigns and are currently building us a stand-alone portal that will help us in attracting talent to our business.
It has always been important to our brand to find partners that can develop an in-depth understanding of who we are through long-term relationships.
